Real success stories
« on: December 10, 2017, 01:35:28 AM »
So I've been on yourbrainonporn ALOT, and on multiple no fap communities can someone give me 10 cases of REAL success stories where the individual completely got rid of their sexual issues? I will PAYPAL THEM $50USD.

I have not seen many cases besides gabe, Noah.. Where people say I'M CURED! Then an update saying sorry guys I relapsed.. if you're CURED, orgasm shouldn't bring you back to ED.

I'm trying to find data that provides solid evidence of COMPLETE recovery. I know that not PMOing helps, It helps me, but it's not a complete recovery of how I used to feel in terms of EQ and libido.

So can someone provide data of people who have FULLY recovered and not gone back into a relapse, flatline, etc? For example a simple update thread saying "hey guys after 2 years, I haven't had a single issue !"  Or "after recovery, I had sex 5 times in one day and didn't relapse or had ED issues". It usually always the case that people think they're recovered and they fall back.

And NO a "I had sex for the first time ever" is not a recovery story. I'm talking permanent recovery cases.

10 cases, I have 50 dollars in PayPal waiting to be sent out to whoever can provide me that data.

Have you visited these two pages and searched for "PIED?"

http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/rebooting-accounts
http://yourbrainonporn.com/rebooting-accounts-2

I don't want your money, but I do hope you'll stop trying to fool yourself that this phenomenon isn't real or that people don't heal from it regularly. Evidence of both show up in the research too. Start here: http://www.sash.net/unprecedented-rates-of-sexual-dysfunctions-in-young-men-may-be-related-to-internet-porn-use/

All the best!

I'm glad im not the only one who thinks this. All the "recovery forums" mostly just make me mad because its full of people who's D's got half hard for a girl ONE TIME and they ran to their computers to write a "recovery" story.

I'm about 8 months rebooting (zero P, PMO, MO, or O for 8 months) from severe pied (rewiring like crazy too) and still waiting to see consistent results. I too have experienced moments of fleeting libido - but I don't run to my computer to tell the world that I'm recovered.

I don't spend much time on this forum anymore and I don't read "recovery" forums at all anymore - as they just make me anxious seeing 90% of the stories seem to be bogus. If anyone knows of a page full of real recovery stories tho, hmu.  :D

I'm not a skeptic. I just think there's much more than just not PMOing. 9/10 of the cases and success stories always consist of "I had sex for the first time or "I got superpowers now but still have ED issues or sometimes it's " I'm cured, still my erection isn't as good, but I'm CURED. NO. That is not being cured. In my case I had sex with over 20 girls, and used to have sex every other day with 2-3 sessions each day. That is ALOT of sex. More than 3/4 of the people here haven't even had sex so I find it peculiar if their issue is in fact PIED. The fact they haven't had sex ever makes me think they're very unsuccessful, unattractive, socially anxious, scrawny or very overweight people . Somewhat of that one weird kid in school. I'm nerdy, but like I mentioned I've had my share of fights, have had my own businesses, I just graduated as an engineer. I did watch porn since I was young, around 10 years old, 26 now. The thing is I didn't masturbate as much as most people here. I would masturbate and watch porn maybe 3 times a week. Never have exceeded that. Anyways, I have 1 year with erection issues now and have watched a handful of porn since and still haven't recovered. Which makes me believe it's more than just porn ther3s something else. And yes I've gone to at least 5 urologist, endos. I'm healthy, a little low testosterone. I noticed that I don't get aroused by naked women, even looking a t pornographic images I barely get a tickle down there. Maybe it has more to do with orgasm, rather than porn.

I'm not a skeptic, I'm thankful for these kinds of sites I am just pissed at all of these fake success stories where someone had sex for the first time, or then later say they relapsed. If you're CURED, you're CURED. No excuses. I find these cases hard to find. So I'm asking for real accounts of these cases.

I'm confused at this post...

Quote
Where people say I'M CURED! Then an update saying sorry guys I relapsed.. if you're CURED, orgasm shouldn't bring you back to ED.
Yeah I mean the path to recovery isn't a straight line. There can be times when a person thinks they're recovered and feel recovered but truly aren't. Look at this post: https://www.yourbrainonporn.com/age-24-ed-healed-sex-initiated-7-week-flatline-i-am-finally-healed - And for the record, the guy ended up considering himself cured.

Quote
I know that not PMOing helps, It helps me, but it's not a complete recovery of how I used to feel in terms of EQ and libido.
"it's not a complete recovery"-- how do you come to that conclusion? It's taken some people 2 years consider themselves cured. If something is helping you, then you're on the right path. Why not stick with it, and see where it takes you?

Quote
For example a simple update thread saying "hey guys after 2 years, I haven't had a single issue !"  Or "after recovery, I had sex 5 times in one day and didn't relapse or had ED issues".
Other people have noticed this. They attribute it to the fact that once a person is cured, they tend not to visit these forums as often, and often forget to post stuff here.

Quote
9/10 of the cases and success stories always consist of "I had sex for the first time
I haven't seen more than 5 recovery stories where this is the case... let alone 9/10 stories

Quote
More than 3/4 of the people here haven't even had sex so I find it peculiar if their issue is in fact PIED. The fact they haven't had sex ever makes me think they're very unsuccessful, unattractive, socially anxious, scrawny or very overweight people .
I don't understand where you got the first point, I don't understand how you infer all that stuff from that first (probably untrue) point, and even if your arguments were true I don't understand what that argument has to do with anything you're saying... And if people don't mention sex then maybe they just want to remain private. I haven't ever mentioned any of my sexual experiences on this site for the sake of privacy, I just talk about my sexual and mental health.

and have watched a handful of porn since and still haven't recovered.
... even lowering porn usage can be ineffective because it can reopen sensitized pathways.

Quote
Maybe it has more to do with orgasm, rather than porn.
If this is the case, then there should be research out there in support of this, people have been orgasming for forever. Have you asked your doctors on this or done the research?

If you want me to be completely honest, you just sound frustrated with this journey, and are trying to find ways to justify your frustration by lashing out at the community...

One more thing--

Quote
Where people say I'M CURED! Then an update saying sorry guys I relapsed.. if you're CURED, orgasm shouldn't bring you back to ED.
Of course people who have been using porn for 10+ years will be negatively affected for a while. When people say 'cured,' what they really mean is 'functional.' If an alcoholic for 10 years stays off alcohol for 6 months but then relapses, of course they're going to respond to the alcohol worse than a non-alcoholic, despite the fact that they might feel recovered. Like I mentioned before, going back to addictions reopens sensitized pathways. It's not as simple as cured / not cured.

I don't want to be that guy but as the other member said, a great majority of the success stories is of people feeling better, they have better skin, less social anxiety, more motivation..etcetera. The issue is their sexual problems are still there. The whole point of this reboot.

If there are SOME success stories, they generally say "I'm getting better, still not where I was, but getting better". I.e. NOT CURED. Not yet at least. And whenever we do get an update it's a "I orgasmed after 2 years and went back to ED". How is that even possible. There seems to be an emotional factor at stake that it's not being recognized, maybe some feeling of guilt after suppressing O so much that when u do O, you don't want to have anything to do with sexual activity.

There are alot of cases where people are worse off than when they started, saying their libido is gone when 2 weeks prior they could have sex like a madman. This needs to be addressed to remain neutral and have a SCIENTIFIC approach to this issue.

For example,  I have no morning wood but I can still have sex and I have for the past year, had sex and orgasmed around 8 times a month. During that time I have watched porn maybe 5 times if that. This leads me to believe that since I haven't tried this reboot WITHOUT O, maybe even having sex is causing me an issue to be successful in my reboot.  I haven't gone more than a week without orgasm since my issue started. I have had some form of oral or vanilla sex , whether high quality or not, since. So there's a possibility that maybe orgasm eith a real life partner isn't the answer either. Maybe not early on.

These types of cases need to be addressed and they're not being addressed because the vast majority of people here are virgins or have had a handful of sex in their entire lives (hence me explaining my sexual past).

The fact that I can still have sex (my EQ isn't how it used to be, and my morning wood hasn't came back, and it takes me a while to get erect) leads to believe it's something deeper than porn, it's possible that there is a fear emotion/factor deep within us affecting our recovery.

Your thoughts? Point of this thread is to get input of people or cases where a full 100%recovery like gabe deem has ocurred.

Although it's definitely possible people who have cured don't come back anymore to report...but I mean why wouldn't you?
One of the most traumatic issues that happens to you and you don't report that finally it's gone? Trust me I'm wanting to believe this, I already tried almost everything I'm almost to the point of going to TRT because my test is in the low 300s. But ima give it another try (which I started last week) of 0 orgasms now so that means no more sex every week. Let's see what happens. Trust me I'll report back, I'll even start some kind of fund, to help people with this issue because it has been the rhoughest thing I have EVER faced so far.

Hi Klavera, I think our situation is quite similar. However, unlike you, I'm a virgin with no sexual experience. I'm addicted to porn and masturbation, but not severely addicted imho though I would sometime escalated to extreme genre (out of curiosity) and sought for novelty. I would never PMO more than 3 times per week. Usually once per week because that was enough to satisfy my urge and also due to guilt feeling. I tried to stop PMO but always failed, just like an addict.

Somehow in April this year, I literally lost my libido and erection within a night after a PMO session. From 100% libido and erection to nothing. Not even porn give me erection. That scares and depresses me a lot because it sounds really different with other rebooters that only enter flatline after abstinence.

Until now, I have gone 7 months without P, M and O. I still cannot get erection from touch except when lying down which is an improvement. Libido still zero though, no urge whatsoever. My junk shrivelled and dead most of the time. Haven't test with porn yet, maybe never will. Went to endocrinologist, all hormones in good level, Testosterone is on upper level.

I really don't know how this can happened overnight. But I know this also happened to a few other guys here. My theory is that, my habit of relapsing to PMO once a week had caused me a more severe PIED as the natural pathway returned to baseline. Or maybe that one week gap is enough to cause my flatline. But this never happened before for the past 5-6 years when I started PMO.

Back to your question, here is some success stories which I do believe real:

http://www.yourbrainrebalanced.com/forum/threads/finally-over.24924/
- Took him almost 2.5 years to recover. Noted that he said O from BJ and HJ gave him similar flatline effect.

http://www.rebootnation.org/forum/index.php?topic=10800.0
- Took him 3 years. Improvement seen after hard mode.

I believe porn can create false libido when the fact is we are actually addicted to PMO. As long as I can function when the time is needed, I would be grateful.

Going for TRT is a lifelong treatment. But below 300 is really low. High level of prolactin (from O) can reduce the T level. So you might want to go for hardmode a couple of months and improve your diet/exercise before opting for TRT.

Exactly. I went from fucking like a madman every other day to one day thinking "why am I taking longer than usual to get erect. " boom just like that, full blown ED for the following couple of weeks I was absolutely ravaged. I wass so sexual, then suddenly no more. In the blink of an eye.

I generally Didn't escalate to crazy porn. Only crazy thing I ever saw was gangbangs.

You're a good example.. 7 months and absolutely nothing? You have balls. I swear if I figure out my issue I will try my best to help you. To help everyone.

I don't think porn did that. Everytime I would meet up with my girl I would instantly get an erection, hard as fuck. Just seeing her. After I had that traumatic experience, I would be afraidto meet up with her cuz my junk D idnt work. Now I don't get hard meeting up with my girl. I have to work to get erect. It's almost like I don't want sex but I end up getting erect at the end of the day and get the job done. And my prolactin is fine too. Had everything checked out. Only thing is I have high cholesterol, and low test.. 309ish ... 8 months ago it was 450ish. When the problem first occurred, 500ish. It has been decreasing but ALL other hormones are fine. T3 t4 tsh..etc etc only thing I have not checked is estradiol.

I can bench around 275 lbs. Run about 2 miles. Squat like 200ish. I mean I don't know what else to do you know? The only thing I have noticed is that I have never not orgasmed, I have always orgasmed since my first issue. I'll try it. I don't wana be on TRT but I am desperate if you catch my drift. I am not happy most of the time. I'm constantly thinking about my issue. The lack of morning wood scares me.

Your low T could be the reason of the sudden loss of libido. I would suggest you to get the LH and FSH hormones tested to check whether the problem is with the pituitary gland. I also have slightly higher cholesterol level. I will do another blood test early next year.

I wonder if the high arousal state that we had before from PMO had caused our brain to automatically shutdown? I feel you brother. It felt like out of sudden the switch is turned off.

I really wish that I knew the answer that we are looking for.

And yea I don't know why I have low T. I grow a good beard, my balls are not small, I build muscle when exercising. All of my lh fsh, shbg, free test were all good. Doctor said only the Test is an issue, but even then I'm too young and says my mood and depression can lower my t significantly. Not to mention that my lowest T recordings were when I ate around once a day. One heavy meal. I did alot of intermittent fasting.

Who knows. I'll try the no O.

I lost my libido overnight too - but not sure if this was through porn or not, as the previous day I had a really tiring, physical and mentally, moving day. (I loaded the furniture in fans, drove many miles 3-4 times that day and had massive shouting match with family)

Since then, in terms of depression, libidio and then, 3 years late, my penis stated get soft. (needless to say, during this heavy depression period, I turne to porn.)

First Reboot - January 2017
Last PMO - August 2017 (Caused shrunk Penis and less blood flow! Instant abandonment of Porn!)
Last MO - June 2018

In Hardmode now……

Thing is I can usually get erect if I masterbate without porn. Takes a while but I do. I feel like cumming fast tho. It's like my mind wants it but my body doesnt.

If you read in this article, there are 2 types of erection which are reflexogenic and psychogenic.

https://morningsteel.com/reflexogenic-vs-psychogenic-erections/

A psychogenic erection start from the brain and involve arousal, coming down to the spinal cord and then erection.

A reflexogenic erection is purely mechanical from stimulation, the result of a reflex arc between your genitals and your spinal cord.

Something must be wrong somewhere in our brain/nerve.

I went into a flatline 1.5 weeks after I quit porn. Then I lost the abiltiy to get an erection via psychogenic pathway. I can only get an erection with physical stimulation. But I have noticed that sex isn't as good this way because it still feels different somehow. It's also far easier to ejaculate (prematurely or too soon) when using this 1 pathway instead of how it was before- using both pathways.

However, now 4.5 months into my reboot and I was able to have sex without pills. I'm seeing improvements. Still nowhere near what it was like before I quit porn though and went into this flatline.

Everyone that recovers has a really low libido. It seems porn isn't the main issue. Maybe orgasm seems to be the culprit. After all u can watch porn all day, but if you don't orgasm, there isn't much dopamine being released...correct?
